MangoSense is an effort to provide information to people in a way that makes sense. With a focus on instinct, collaboration and creativity, it radically improves the way people find and consume information on the web.

Our team is comprised of engineers and thought leaders with practical experiences from life. We continue to create, collaborate and innovate based on what we learn everyday from life. While working at startups and fortune 500 companies in previous avatars, we realized that the most common phrase which people use when they understand something is "That Makes Sense", yet its heard rarely.

Engineer
We're working on challenging engineering problems that consistently push our intellectual capabilities to the limits. We think this makes it more fun to come to work in the morning, and makes a programmer feel more like a craftsman than a mechanic. Both founders are engineers, and Mangosense will remain a product/technology-focused company. This is your opportunity to make sense in an environment full of noise and information overload.

Requirements:
* Capable of "great feats of software"
* Deriving joy from abstracting and refactoring
* Eagerness to roll up your sleeves and tackle the elusive, dirty problems
* Sound judgment for balancing between idealism and pragmatism

Desirable:
* Deep knowledge of front-end Web technologies
* Passion for programming languages, algorithms, databases
* Experience with functional or declarative programming languages
* Interest in both the nitty gritty and the big picture
* Interest in both coding and leadership


Business Person
A versatile leader who can oversee operations internally and represent MangoSense at an executive level externally. You will be the primary advisor to the founders on strategy and point-person for execution, freeing them to focus on product and technology.
You will be responsible for helping with everything from high-level brand strategy to tweaking marketing copy, from closing early deals to building the sales team, from recruiting world-class talent to developing a culture in which they can thrive, from galvanizing the press to inspiring passion in your teammates.

Requirements:

* Ability to translate broad vision into decisive action
* Capacity to understand others and make them feel understood
* Software engineering background

Desirable:

* Held senior positions in (consumer) software companies

Interns
Interns will work on projects directly related to the production of the company's Web applications, including extending APIs, building apps and constructing new feature sets. Interns will work alongside a small, dedicated team including the Co-Founders who pulled it all together. Ideal candidates will have a passion for building cool products as well as an interest in what it takes to build and run an NYC startup.
